Summary: Beautifully decorated, very Victorian. Rather like staying in a museum. Mattress was comfortable. Very clean. Front desk check in was lovely. Those were the good bits.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit in the room was horrifically noisy, to the point where we had to turn it off halfway through the night and open the windows instead. To get any kind of breeze, we also had to open the blinds, which meant that the bright exterior lights that stayed in all night lit our room up like daylight... and we could hear the neighbouring room's a/c.
Even more unfortunate was the owner's response in the morning when we checked out. Yes, he knew there was an issue with all the units, and he had someone coming in a few days to look at them. In the meantime, we were told "sorry about that"... and nothing more.
No offer of a discount of any kind. No offer of a complimentary breakfast (which is not included in the price of your stay, btw, so it is most definitely NOT a bed and breakfast as advertised... not is it cheap).
We were out the door and halfway down the stairs before he offered breakfast the next time we stayed.
So. Pretty place. Clean. And utterly spoiled by the compete lack of client care. Cannot recommend. Will not stay again.
